Jake Cohn on the landing pad

Name: Jake “The Ice Cream” Cohn
Home Mountain: Telluride, Colorado

Jake has been a part of the landing project since our first private unveiling on Blackcomb glacier in 2008. With 20 years skiing experience, Jake has literally been skiing since he was in diapers. Jake has been a key member of our Katal Testing Crew, and was the first skier to hit the landing pad.
After our first private testing session in summer 2008, Jake traveled south of the equator to participate in the New Zealand Freeskiing Open. During the competition, he sustained a compression fracture on his L4 Vertebrae. Since then, Jake’s enthusiasm for the landing pad has only increased. Jake told us “The landing pad will improve my riding because I will be able to learn new tricks without the possible consequence of a serious injury.”
